I decided to start a blog not because I have fantastic writing abilities(I wish I did), but because I've found that most social networking is so impersonal. Sure you can see some photos of a person. Comments here and there, or a status update but when it comes down to it, we're all pretty desensitized by the monotony of it all.
My friend Breanna and I were having a conversation on this topic. Recently she's started a beautiful blog(You can find it here). She posts articles on subject matter that really make you stop and think. Reflect, Inspire, laugh, maybe even cry. The point is, she's trying to make a difference. Step out of the bubble our society has created of gossip and meaningless conversation- in hopes of making an impact on someones life, big or small.
Which brings me back to my blog. I wanted to start this as a way to give a little more insight into my life, my ideas, my inspiration. I used to believe I didn't have much to offer. "So what I'm a dancer or an aspiring photographer, that's nothing the world hasn't seen before. I'm only 21, who cares what I've done in my life."
I was wrong, although what I have to offer may be little- it's significant. It's me, it's my perspective that is unlike anyone else's in the world. So, for my friends and maybe some acquaintances here you go. This is a look into my delightful little life. I hope you enjoy it.

cheyb, i can't wait to go through this adventure with you. i can't wait for the moment where you realize what you mean to people, the power you possess, and the influence you share with everyone around you. i can't wait to look back on our lives and laugh and smile about all that we've done.
ReplyDeletei love you, so much.
Aw thank you Breanna! I can't wait to be old ladies and we'll reflect on "the good old days", and tell our kids stories. I love you endearingly so. Thanks for always pushing me to stay inspired and think :)
